Location
The Winter Sanctuary is located between the merchant and residential districts, south of the Aviline River in the far eastern reaches of the City.

Description
The entrance to the infirmary opens up into a small but accomidating foyer. It is decorated in creamy whites and soft cyans, the floor a sterile white slate beneath one's feet. The two large windows near the entrance are draped with a deep blue satin, the fabric grazing the floor on either side. A few comfortable-looking wooden benches line one wall, and serve as a waiting area when the clinic becomes overly busy. Three rather-large acrylic portraits are hung about the walls, each depicting a different peaceful, wintry scene of flora or fauna. A few oil lamps burn constantly on the small wooden desk tucked in a corner of the room, lending the place a professional feel.
On the right wall, the nearest door leads to the Operating Room, while further on down the wall, a large open doorway leads to the spacious Recovery Room. A small flight of stairs towards the back of the room leads to Dr. Valkyrie Dagmaerdottir's private room upstairs.
