Background
Growing up Sebastian was the youngest in a family of six. While his
father was blessed with five sons, Sebastian knew from youth he would receive
little from his parents; they were noble, but modest, and the Morel estate
would barely support two. Because of this, Sebastian grew up in books, rather
then business- when his brothers tended to the Estate’s progress, he read
documents on simple firearms. Soon, his obsession turned real, as he built a
small shed in the pasture of Morel to occupy his various tinkering. His
parents, both Jean-Pierre his father, and his mother, Cecile, looked down upon
the habit as it was fruitless and silly. Still, they did little to gainsay it
as their business was often consumed by his siblings.
When Sebastian turned 18, he set out with a pocket of meager coin,
his sword, and journals to take notes and sketches in. He traveled into the
reaches of Aragonia first, finding Amilicar, and all the beauties a different
land held; then he went to Kusheth, Azzale, and in Azzale, tired to book
passage to Alba. Unfortunately, his purse couldn’t afford it. He finished with
a tour of Calmach, and L’Agance, before returning home, a year older, no
richer, but bursting it seemed with new discoveries. Sebastian then busied
himself with inventions for many years, eventually renting a small barn from a
local farmer, when his father died and his brother, Jacques, took over Morel.
A year ago the farmer who’s barn he rented passed on, and the land
was given to his son, who held the idea of having a strange man tinkering
there horrific. Thus it was that Sebastian turned his sights to the City of
Eula, hoping perhaps to finally make a breakthrough with one of his
inventions.
Personality
Sebastian is often light of heart; upon meeting someone he will gladly be open and honest, and inquisitive. He carried with him a journal of sketches and notes, and ideas, and often will be found scribbling in it. Sebastian has the tendency to be flighty; his thoughts often run to fast, and it can be difficult to catch up with him. Sebastian, while taught at home- his parents could never afford a University- is very intelligent. He puts that intelligence to use in his work, though, as he often is surrounded by things, rather then people can be a little… awkward, in social situations.

Family
Jean-Pierre de Morel- (Deceased) Sebastian's late father. Sebastian never truly connected with the man, and often avoided him at most points in life. Jean-Pierre saw Sebastian's works as frivolous, and silly.
Cecile de Morel- Sebastian's mother, who lives now with his eldest brother on their small estate in Siovale. While she does not, directly, dislike Sebastian's passion; she fell for his father, a minor nobleman, and knows much about following one's heart, she does urge him to find a wife and make a family.

Recent Events
-Sebastian has been seen with fits of coughing; so much that blood splatters have ended up in his handkerchief. His eyes have become shadowed, and his cheeks a bit hallowed. He claims it is nothing more than a common cold.
