Background
Remy was born to a courtier and a marquist, the younger of two children to the content if unusual couple. At the age of seven, a customer of his mother’s spotted him gently carrying an injured bird to find someone to heal it, and recommended that he be brought to House Balm. Reluctant though they were to let their younger son go, his parents searched their hearts and, after several prayers to Namaah, took the courtesan’s advice.
At first, Remy was terribly homesick, but his adoptive family of Balm comforted him and brought him to quickly realize the value of their art. From them, he learned that Balm is not simply about healing of physical wounds or bringing carnal pleasure, it is about supporting the mind and soothing the soul. While he displayed an interest in mysteries which would be suitable for Gentian, his caring was first and foremost his noteworthy attribute, so he remained in the same House.
While Remy’s debut was a small affair, his virgin price was ninety ducats, a healthy sum. He earned his marquee in three years and chose to remain with Balm up until recently. The new Night Court policies drove him to regretfully turn his back on his home for seventeen years of his life and take up his arts at his friend Evangeline’s Jardin de Namaah.
Description
Soft. No single other word could describe the first glance at Remy. His honey brown hair, his warm lips, and his features all convey a softness, an approachable, lovable quality though not any hint of weakness or fragility. Eyes of sea green offer sincerity and comfort. His linen chemise of periwinkle is gathered high at the neck, forming a tiny ruffle. Over it lies a doublet of dusky gray-blue and matching codpiece, as well as hose of a lighter shade with more emphasis towards the former color.
