Phillipe de Molay
From Wiki
[edit] BackgroundPhillipe is the child of Jacques & Camilla de Molay. His father died when he was 8 years old and his mother never re-married. His parentage has always been a point of contention since he looked nothing like his father. The black hair, blue eyes give him the appearance of being a member of the Shahrizai family but no one could prove any impropriety on Camilla's part. He was never close with his mother and after his fathers death he chose to travel instead of remaining in Siovale. Maybe he himself believes that his mother had an affair which brought about his conception or maybe there is something else... At 16 he left to travel and has been on the road ever since. He traveled around Caerdicca Unitas and Hellas for the past 11 years learning philosophy and adventuring. His title as a Lord from Terre D'Ange got him invited to many parties and dinners with nobles of the City States where he could trade ideas and philosophy. But it was the travels themselves that taught him the most. Every few months he would have to meet new people and build relationships in a short period of time. His goal in his travels was to learn as much as he could and experience whatever the land had to offer. He would occasionally rub someone the wrong way and would have to defend himself with a sword. At age 19 he was almost killed in a sword fight and bares a scar in his abdomen from the blow. He survived but it opened his eyes to the dangers of his journeys. That is when he decided to seek out those who had mastered the sword to learn what he could. When news of his mothers death came to him he was torn as to what to do. He had planned to continue his travels in Aragonia that now seemed to be impossible. He had grown accustomed to being the travelling noble and didn't want it to end, but it was his duty as the sole heir to return and make preparations for his mothers burial. Once home the realization set that he would have to stay and take over as Comte to the people his mother ruled.[edit] PersonalityPhillipe's personality has been shaped very much by his travels. This lead him to have a very outgoing personality and a fearlessness about him. He couldn't fear rejection because it happened all the time, he couldn't fear the unknown because that was all there was when he went to new locations. Phillipe is an unabashed flirt taking joy in the wordplay and verbal jousting. He appreciates beauty in all it's forms. While not necessarily a sensualist his love of new experience will often lead him to try anything at least once. He's the type of person that doesn't really know what his limits are until he experiences them.

[edit] Recent Events[edit] Walls and Doors"I am accused of having a wall, of the thickest ice imaginable, erected around me..." Doliana looks over. "If you think to scale it, think twice. I've had many try, very few succeed. I am a terribly bitter woman and not an hour ago made a Jasmine cry" She watches him, a turn up of the corner of her mouth. "And you're blunt." Phillipe notes the hint of a smile from Doliana and smirks, "Well I'm not one for climbing." He takes another sip of his wine, "There is a funny thing about walls, they keep things out, but they also keep things in." He sets his glass down, "Fortresses and Prisons have that in common. Walls. No matter how gilded the cage is or how well it protects you, it's still a cage M'Lady... " "You are the second to speak that. An old university friend spoke much the same thing, but added 'You have to come out some time' and then jests about buying himself some ice picks" She takes another sip of her wine. "Would you like to play some cards?" Her tone slightly less cold. Phillipe smiles at the offer, "Yes I believe I would." He picks up his drink and pauses beside the Domina, "I wouldn't presume to tell you that you need to come out, M'Lady... We erect walls for a reason and they are needed. My only suggestion is that you add a door, with a lock, and keep the key close to your heart," The young Comte offers his arm, "So you know when to use it." There's the smile. Her arm slips easily into his. "I think I'll take up that suggestion. However, the Ambassador will still need his ice picks." She gestures to an empty table with a lone and bored looking Bryony. "What game and what stakes?" [edit] For Love & MoneyFantine's appearance brings a smile to Phillipe's face and a small wave from his hand. When he looks back to the Dowayne the smile is more of a smirk, "Has it ever been written that Naamah returned a gift because it was too generous in her service to Elua? If it has I will take the ducats back with a heavy heart. Otherwise I believe that Rosette has done Naamah's will in service to Elua and it should be applied to her Marque. As the Patron in question, I am satisfied and to deny my gift would be... offensive." He again defers to Isabelle giving her a voice to speak with. [edit] The ToastPhillipe turns to the crowd and smiles, "We are lucky to live in such a time as this my friends. Where we are the cradle of civilized life. Our time on this earth is short and we will only be remembered by the marks and deeds we do... But with men such as our King to lead and protect this city and our lands, history will surly remember this as a golden age." He turns back to the King Bastien, "To the King, may your reign bring prosperity like no other." He holds his glass high as a salute... [edit] Trivia
