Background
Nicolas the Grey (his preferred moniker, due to the length of his full name - Nicolas de Beauchamp nó Leblanc) is the former Crown Regent of Terre d'Ange and one of the oldest living people in recent memory. When there's a Royal Family, he serves as advisor and diplomat, and when there isn't he serves as ruler in their stead. Often the Regent has secretly chosen a replacement regent in case something should happen to him. He's also in charge of tallying the Royal Votes, but serves as an implicitely neutral voice. At the end of the last coronation ceremony, Nicolas announced the new crown regent to be the former Cassiline Prefect.
Physically and mentally Nicolas is fairly active, though refuses to get too involved in politics and can often be found puttering about the Royal Palace Gardens with his Cassiline bodyguards, Luc and Everett. He's generally friendly and easily approachable, with a certain grandfatherly charm that tends to calm people quickly when they're around him. Still, regardless of his advanced age he's still sharp as ever and can spot a lie a mile away. Nobody's really certain just -how- old he is, but he must be at least in his 90s considering he was old when many current adults were infants.
Description
Nicolas the Grey is the Crown Regent of Terre d'Ange, and is quite an elderly old man; skinny and feeble-looking. He must be well on his way to his 90s by now. A sparse, whispy crown of hair tops his otherwise bald head, the skin stretched thinly around his liverspotted skull. His eyes, however, are a crystal-clear, deeply intelligent green which belies his otherwise frail appearance.
The Crown Regent wears a comfortable, distinguished ensemble of grey vest with a green chemise, and a pair of grey leggings with a pair of old brown leather boots covering his feet. He balances himself to move about on a long wooden staff topped with a silver sphere, the mark of the Crown Regent's important office. Despite his advanced age, Nicolas seems to have little trouble getting out and about.
Idea
Nicolas is a Staff-run pseudo-character that can interact with normal PCs (players) in the same way as a normal character, but with special rules and abilities. He is mainly used to enhance the plot as a "background" character. See NPC Policy for more detailed information.

Feel free to be as simple or as detailed as you like with the +request. However, it's best to at last describe the times you're free to RP. Here's a good example:
