Namarre

Occupying the land south of Azzalle, Namarre was founded by the angel Naamah. It is a place of manyrivers, and has a shrine where the River of Naamah rises from beneath the earth. The seat of House L'Envers, one of the most important noble families of Terre d'Ange, is in Namarre, as is the city Troyes-le-Mont.

Geography

Namarre is a province in Terre D'Ange that lies just south of Azzalle, which is near the northern/northwest coast of the country. Geographically, it's a broad expanse of land that touches Siovale in the northeast as well, giving the province some rockier areas to the east and north. Many rivers flow through Namarre, most of them originating from the mountains themselves and flowing out to Azzalle and then the sea, northwards. One of the largest rivers is the River of Naamah, which has a shrine at its source.

Government

Traditionally, House L'Envers has ruled Namarre from the city Troyes-le-Mont in Namarre, though in more recent times the power and influence of the House has dwindled, particularly with the loss of House Courcel. In Juin of 1185, however, the L'Envers line once more rose to the position of leadership as Jehanne L'Envers was elevated to Duchess of Namarre.
