Appearance
Jacques appears to be in his late 20s and could be called handsome by some. His body is leanly muscled and he stands no less then six foot in the heels of his black boots. His complexion is darkened, tanned from long days beneath the sun. His face is has a masculine jaw-line with straight black hair that makes up a thick mustache that lines over his mouth, a mouth that sometimes seems ready to quirk into a smile. His eyes are that rarely found deep color of brown to look almost black which could sometimes make him seem to have a rather intense gaze. Often his long hair is unbound letting the tips curl at the ends where it seems to fall over his shoulders and sometimes down along the sides of his face.
His clothing is well-tailored and dressed as if he is a gentleman swashbuckler. He wears an off-white tunic of creamy linen cut in the classical poet style, with billowed sleeves and a loose fit to allow his movements freedom. The high collar on the tunic is left undone allowing the shirt is open halfway down his chest, revealing the faint shadow of sparse dark hairs across his upper torso and down the midline of his body. The tunic tucks neatly into the high waist black leather breeches. He wears boots that come up to mid-calf with a bit of leather off the tongue to fold down over the laces. The boots are soft and flat footed with square toes. A double-breasted tanned leathered frock coat is worn over the tunic, with a turn of the collar and diagonal pockets. The cut the coat accents the width of his shoulders before tapering close at his lean waist and past to his knees. In the rear the coat has split tails that allow for ease of movement. Twin rows of brass buttons are engraved with the heads of lions along one side of the coat.
Lastly, a black hat sits at a rakish angle upon his head with one side of the brim curled up against the hat. His ears have golden hoop earrings, one in each and hanging loosely about his throat rests an ancient looking locket. Balanced evenly on the belt of his breeches is a battered scabbard that is buckled on his left side angled back, and the unmistakable hilt of a well-fashioned and well-used rapier sticking out and on the right the short scabbard for a main gauche; the hilt of the short fencing dagger a mix of white gold and well crafted filigree basket around a pearl grip.
