Training

Jasmine adepts are trained to the House Canon of sensuality. It is customary that adepts are chosen for exotic (usually dark) beauty, and thus a focus of the art of Jasmine House is drawing attention to that which sets them apart. The art of a Jasmine adept goes beyond the sensuality of touch alone, and it is often that those trained within learn specific ways to appeal to each of the senses.

As the House has been subject to great changes under the past few years, it will be up to the new leadership to decide which areas of Jasmine's art to focus on in the future.

Debuts

Because Jasmine House holds the canon of Sensuality and a reputation for exotic dark beauty, debuts in this House are often rich and decadent affairs. The traditions of the Bhodistani often find their way into the lovely displays, highlighting the adepts forms with dance or music.

History and Current Events

House Jasmine, the House of Sensuality, had a run of extreme popularity during and just after the Fimbulwinter of 1183. As nobility from all around Terre D'Ange flocked to the City of Elua to await the Royal Vote, many sought the pleasures of the Night Court for the first time and were lured by the seductive pull and exotic beauty of the House.

Dowayne Maia led the House to great prosperity, admired herself by many. She served during that Longest Night as the Winter Queen, her beauty unveiled by Duc Bastien's Sun Prince, in what some have called a most prophetic celebration of all that is D'Angeline. After he was crowned King a mere few weeks later, the appeal of Jasmine House grew even more.

The Dowayne however, seemed to fade away from the limelight. Some say that she was ill and simply never recovered. Others wonder whether there were not more mysterious circumstances at play. She made appearances on and off during the next year, even choosing a new Second to help her host the Night Court's own Longest Night fete in 1184.

In the Spring of the following year, new Ducal leaders were crowned for the duchies of Namarre and Azzalle. A contingent from Jasmine House arrived to share in the court festivities. The next morning, the Dowayne was found mysteriously dead. No one has seen the Second Aurele since, and so Jasmine House has been without leadership upon Mont Nuit. There are no rumors yet that a new Dowayne has been found, and so the city and the Night Court await news, and wonder about the future of the House which for a short time was the toast of the City of Elua.

For the Longest Night of 1185, the courtesans and adepts of House Jasmine went dressed in what seems their traditional heritage- as Bhodistani dancers, in full attire.
