Description
Long shelves and smooth counter tops line the tidy glassblower's shoppe. Placed carefully upon the shelving are lovely creations in sparkling glass. Small figurines, delicate and hand painted in shipping jewel tones, decorate the higher shelves, and along the lower shelves are large glass bowls, vases, and a myriad of goblets, cups, flutes, and wine glasses.
Toward the back of the shoppe is a small wooden stool next to a build out. The build out contains an oven, the coals stoked to a brilliant red behind the iron door. Tools of the glass maker's trade line a scarred wooden table against the wall. Blowing pipes, wrenches and other implements to shape the heated glass as it rapidly cools. A large urn of water stands at the ready, and small snippets of discarded glass litter the floor around the workspace.
Fragile purchases wrapped in gaily colored paper are stacked in wooden crates, ready for delivery, and another small table holds several items in various stages of completion. The shoppe is bright, and warm, and the shimmer of light from the cut glass sconces dances prettily across the floor.
