Background

The scion of one of Kusheth's lesser noble families, Foulque has spent most of his life in the harsh yet beautiful countryside of inland Kusheth. His father, Count Lannes has a reputation seldom encountered among Kushelines, that of a true scholar, and that has left an imprint in young Foulque, as he posesses a rich education , imposed on by his father but also at times a trained eye can see in him a rebeliousness against this nature, and a wild side that seems to contradict all said education. Yet one cannot forget what he has learned, and Foulque will be able to hold his own in conversation with even the most learned Siovalese on a variety of subjects. His family's horse breeding ranch has provided him with a different set of joys, as the young man has proved adept at riding and then taming the horses that make the countryside proud. In a different tradition, the Viscount has proven a true scion of Elua and Kushiel, countless dalliances with the young women of the domain, from crofter's daughters to young ladies of the nobility, and even a few affairs with more experienced ladies, whose name is best kept silent. At age seventeen, his father dispairing of making a proper gentleman out of the young man sent him to foster with House Shahrizai, and there Foulque has spent a few years, learning the intricacies of politics, court life, and even waking up some of the darker sides of his soul in searching for pleasure. He has learned his lessons here well, and his name is even remembered among the Shahrizai for a skill with a blade, as displayed in several duels and for equal skill with a lute, an instrument that he learned to play from various troubadours. Growing into his maturity he has returned to his manor where he seconded his father with the duties of their House , mostly inside Kusheth, but as the old man seems to dwindle into old age, it is time Foulque made his own connections inside the City of Elua.

Personality

Not as brash as violent as when he was younger, Foulque still isn't a person one can bait without consequences. A keen wit and a very political mind will keep him in good stead in most situations, as he can reply irony with irony, and knows when to concede a point. yet there are situations where his temper can become volatile, and those situations mostly involve horses and women. Not necessarily in that order.
