Eisheth
Precepts
Eisheth was noted for her gentleness, and for giving humanity the healing arts, which is why so many of the best physicians and doctors come from her province. She is also said to have gifted mankind with music and story, explaining why so many Mendicants (traveling bards) hail from Eisande.
Customs
In order to conceive, a woman of Terre D'Ange must pray to Eisheth to open the gates of her womb. Once such a prayer is made, it can never be taken back. It is not a garauntee, lighting a candle, of success. A child will be granted at Eisheth's whim and sometimes never at all. A barren womb is still a barren womb, no matter how hard you pray.
Chosen Land
Eisande is the smallest of the seven provinces of Terre D'Ange, founded by the angel Eisheth. It sits on the south coast of the country, bordering Siovale to the west, L'Agnace to the north, and Caerdicca Unitas to the east. It is home to dreamers, sailors, healers, and traders, as well as a large Tsingano population that is more well-tolerated there than in other regions.
The largest and grandest city in Eisande is Marsilikos, founded by the Hellenes long before Elua came to Terre D'Ange. An ancient road called Eisheth's Way, built by the soldiers of the Tiberian Empire, runs through the province.
Priesthood
The traditional dress of Eisheth's faithful priests and priestesses are robes the color of the sea.
