Description
The tantalizing scents from the bakery can be smelled before even reaching the front door. Once entering the shoppe, the warm, yeasty smells mingle with sweet cinnamon, and tempting herbs for a delicious assault on the senses to make mouths water and coin purses open. Across the back of the bakery is a row of small iron doors, each opening into a wood fired oven that vents through chimneys along the outer wall of the small shoppe.
The front counter top is lined with rows of fresh rolls, delicious loaves of wheat, rye, and sourdough breads, long D'Angeline baguettes and croissants. Another small case holds delectable sweet treats, cakes, cookies, small pies and mince meats. The front window of the store is decorated with garlands of white flowers, and lovely creations of white cake and powdery sugar perch atop elegant displays.
