Background

The de Croy family is an off-shoot branch of the Valliers, one of the Houses numbered amongst the Allies Of Camlach. A family dutiful to serving its country in times of war, the de Croys often enjoyed the pleasures of hunting as well as martial pursuits even in times of peace. The barony was mainly supported by a combination of the modest efforts of its farmers, tanners, and lumberers.

Antoinette was the second born of the current generation of de Croys. Sanjean's only daughter was indulged thoroughly, particularly since her desires seemed to be oriented in the pasttimes de Croys for ages had always enjoyed. She was particularly insistent on emulating Frederic, or "Freddy" as she liked to call her elder brother. Anything he did, she wanted to do too. And so Antoinette learned to hunt and ride, played in the kennels, joined him in the mews, and played with wooden swords until her thirteenth year, when her Freddy gave her a real one which she wears to this day. Her younger brother, Lucard, always seemed somewhat outside the pair's relationship, but Antoinette loved him too, and though they did not always get along, their family bonds remained tight.

Family

Sanjean Valliers de Croy - Antoinette's father passed on to Terra D'Ange That Lies Beyond when she was 17 years old. He thoroughly indulged her in her martial pursuits, and instilled in her the belief of the principles of duty, courage, honor, and loyalty. Sanjean is portrayed by Alan Dale.

Valerie Neville de Croy - Nettie's mother resides back in the barony of de Croy. She runs the barony after having urged her Antoinette, new to her title, to go to Elua and establish their presence more firmly amongst the nobility. Valerie is portrayed by Judith Light.

Frederic Valliers de Croy - The eldest son of the de Croy family and Baron of de Croy upon the passing of his father. He died in the recent battle with the Hazaran. Antoinette was deeply affected by his death, as she looked up to him as her hero. Frederic is portrayed by Brian Krause.

Lucard Valliers de Croy - Lucard is the youngest of the three de Croy children. He's a bit of a troublemaker and a rake, more so after the deaths of his father and brother. There are a few children born in recent years to commoner women of the barony that look suspisciously like him. Lucard is portrayed by Chad Michael Murray.

Néomie de Fontaine - This exceedingly kind woman welcomed Antoinette to Elua, and seems to have taken Nettie under her wing. Sif likes the woman who told Antoinette to call her Dowager, and that endears her even more.

Servants Of Naamah

Nisha - Antoinette met her, along with Odette outside the Tower of Blue while playing with Sif. The pair are the first Servants she's ever talked to, and she found Nisha to be sweet and bubbly.

Odette - The other half of the Servants Antoinette met, Odette intrigues her, but at the same time Antoinette feels a sense of unease about the nature of Odette's House, Valerian.

Recent Events

Arrival (Janvier)

Antoinette arrives in Elua, accompanied by her dog, her falcon, and a single servant. She takes up temporary residence in the ducal estate of Camlach, arranged by previous invitation.
Antoinette meets Neomie, who promptly sees fit to take the young Baroness under her wing. The next day, she meets Nisha and Odette. It's the first time she's ever really spoken to any Servants Of Naamah.
Antoinette has her audience with Bastien, though her petition is briefly interrupted by the return of Prince Balcime. She is accepted into court, her gift of her brother's hunting bow received by the king. She is also granted access to the king's forest for hunting.
